A magnificent French Victorian convertible pendant-brooch in rich 18ct Gold, exquisitely detailed in the Classical Revival style. At its heart sits a rectangular purple Paste tablet bearing a charming painted cherub, encircled by lustrous Pearls set in Silver to heighten their glow. The composition is romantic and architectural, with applied bead and rope borders for delicious texture and light play.
Beautifully hand-crafted with articulated sections, the design layers openwork lozenge frames, a pierced and foliate-engraved crescent, and a graceful pear-shaped drop for fluid movement. Complete with a substantial fixed bail and original brooch fittings (tube hinge and simple C-catch), it transitions effortlessly from pendant to brooch. A small locket compartment on the back provides the perfect space for you to keep a cherished memento.

Paste tablet measures 17mm long x 10.5mm wide.
Pearls measure 2mm to 3.5mm in diameter.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Silver settings, Pearls, Purple Paste.
STAMPS: Obscured French stamps.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.
Condition
EXCELLENT: The painted purple Paste panel is crisp with only light age-related surface wear, and the Pearls are well-matched with minimal nacre wear and a bright, even lustre. The articulated Gold work and settings are in fine condition with a gentle, even patina from age. Brooch fittings are secure and function well; no obvious repairs are visible.

When you choose 'DDP', the price you see at the checkout is the full and final total you will pay to have your order delivered.

Layaway Installment Plans
A layaway is an interest-free payment plan that enables you to reserve an item with an initial deposit, and then pay the balance over 60 days.
Layaway is very popular with Lillicoco customers, particularly when making a more considered purchase.
How It Works
In total, you will make three payments over three months:
Day 1: 33.33%
Day 30: 33.33%
Day 60: 33.33%
Your layaway purchase is reserved for you as soon as the initial payment has been taken.
Your order is shipped once the full balance has been paid.
All of our usual terms and conditions apply with a layaway purchase, although 15% of the invoice total is nonrefundable in case of cancellation or return, acting as an administration fee.
A layaway is not a loan, nor is it a form of credit. A credit check is not required to put an item on layaway, and missing a payment will not affect your credit score.
If you do not complete your layaway on schedule your reservation may be cancelled and your payments may be refunded, minus the administration fee.
