A rare Victorian cannetille “bug” brooch-pendant, alive with iridescent green body panels and exquisitely modelled legs and antennae. The wings are draped in fine applied cannetille wirework and S-scrolls that create a lace-like texture in warm Yellow Gold. Two petite, round stones—one Ruby and one Paste—gleam at the head for a mischievous, lifelike spark.
Beautifully engineered as a convertible jewel, it wears as a brooch via a vertical pin and simple C-catch, or as a pendant from the fixed top suspension loop. MEASUREMENTS: Brooch is 39.5mm long x 16mm wide.
Ruby is 2.5mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.06ct.
Paste stone is 2.5mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 4.7g.
MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold settings, 9ct Gold brooch pin, Ruby (0.06ct), Paste
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.
Condition
EXCELLENT: Stones are bright with minimal surface wear visible under magnification. The cannetille wirework is crisp and well-preserved with a pleasing light patina; the iridescent body panels are vivid. The brooch pin is secure and functioning, with only minor age-related darkening near the head noted.

Layaway Installment Plans
A layaway is an interest-free payment plan that enables you to reserve an item with an initial deposit, and then pay the balance over 60 days.
Layaway is very popular with Lillicoco customers, particularly when making a more considered purchase.
How It Works
In total, you will make three payments over three months:
Day 1: 33.33%
Day 30: 33.33%
Day 60: 33.33%
Your layaway purchase is reserved for you as soon as the initial payment has been taken.
Your order is shipped once the full balance has been paid.
All of our usual terms and conditions apply with a layaway purchase, although 15% of the invoice total is nonrefundable in case of cancellation or return, acting as an administration fee.
A layaway is not a loan, nor is it a form of credit. A credit check is not required to put an item on layaway, and missing a payment will not affect your credit score.
If you do not complete your layaway on schedule your reservation may be cancelled and your payments may be refunded, minus the administration fee.
